You gotta get a gimmick.

After completing my degree in classical voice, and appearing in operas, choirs, plays and musicals across the western United States, I moved to NYC to study improv comedy at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade, completing both the advanced study improv and sketch programs there in 2012. I went on to tour for five years with the musical comedy show Broadway’s Next Hit Musical (2012-2017), performing improvised musicals in exotic locations like Michigan and North Carolina.

I am a founding cast member of Vern, one of New York’s longest running musical improv companies. I can also be seen weekly performing with Dreamhouse as part of the Magnet Theatre’s Musical Megawatt and every month at Grove 34 with The Improv Draft.

I love to share the joy of musical improv through coaching and teaching, bringing a focus on musicality, character, and storytelling to my work as a teacher. I have taught musical improv throughout Europe and the United States (Hoopla; London, Whalefish; Bremen, Comedy Cafe; Berlin, The Pit).

As a storyteller I have won the Moth StorySLAM and appear frequently as part of the storytelling series Written in Brooklyn.

I am also a big trivia and gameshow geek and have appeared as a contestant on $100,000 Pyramid and Who Wants to be a Millionaire (spoiler: I did not become a millionaire). I live in Queens, NY with my husband Patrick (also an improviser), son George (will probably become an improviser), and two cats (both stand-ups).
